Bringing The Hub Back to Richmond

Bringing The Hub Back to Richmond

At Secure Parking and Storage, we believe true recovery goes beyond buildings – it starts with people and places that matter. That’s why we’re proud to have played a key role in restoring The Hub on the Butts Farm Estate in Richmond – a much-loved community space that had sat empty since the pandemic.

Once the heart of the estate, The Hub served as a food bank, social space, and safe haven. But like many community centres, it closed during Covid and remained unused for four years. Time took its toll, and the site needed more than just repairs – it needed a full revival.

Working alongside Richmond Housing, we stepped in with a clear vision, a solid plan, and the investment needed to bring The Hub back to life.

Here’s what we delivered:

For the building:

· Resealed and repaired all windows and frames

· Installed a brand-new workbench for community use

· Added secure combination locks and anti-intruder fencing

· Reclaimed and rebranded the space, preparing it for a full repaint

For the grounds:

· Built an all-weather roof for outdoor use year-round

· Refreshed the garden gate for a welcoming entrance

· Removed tree stumps and made the patio safer and more functional

This was more than a renovation – it was a full-circle recovery project, inside and out. The revived Hub is once again a vibrant, secure, and usable space for the local community.

We’re proud to support recovery where it’s needed most. At SPS, we go beyond parking and storage – we help communities rebuild.
